Cool Cat Carrie’s Coffee
After telling my mom about this blog, she wanted to be apart of it, so she made me the coffee she drinks every morning. I could tell that it was more of a coffee than a latte, but I still enjoyed it very much. I liked that it almost had a bit of a hazelnut taste as well. Coffee #20 gets a 7/10!
Summer Moon Coffee
Summer Moon is a local coffee shop near my home, so I decided to try it over fall break. The Blue Moon Latte has lavender within it, which I was very excited for because I love lavender. However, this drink was just so plain and did not stick out to me at all, and it did not have enough ice, so it was lukewarm. Coffee #19 gets a 6/10.
Klein’s
I was in Chicago for about two days, so I had to get coffee from a small business shop and it needed to be something more basic. Getting straight to the point, this was the most delicious drink I have had yet. The espresso shot had to be hand-pulled, so I knew it was going to be good. It was beyond heavenly. For the first time this journey, coffee #18 gets a 10/10!
7Brew
I decided to take fall break as an opportunity to try a coffee shop from home! Knowing that there was pumpkin, vanilla, and caramel syrup in this drink, I did not think it would be one of my favorites; I was correct. It was way too sweet for me, so I was not a fan. Coffee#17 gets a 5/10.
Scooter’s Coffee
I have only had Scooters’ a few times, so I was excited to try something new! The worker recommended this to me. Maple bourbon sounded very intriguing, and it was very delicious. I just wish the coffee flavor was a bit stronger, even though I already added an extra shot of espresso. Coffee #16 gets an 8/10.
Caribou Coffee
This specific drink had been on my mind for a while. I was wondering how different it would taste if I used blue raspberry syrup, which is an electric blue color and is never used in lattes, instead of the regular raspberry syrup. I thought it was going to taste a little more sour, but to be honest, it tasted exactly the same. Coffee #15 gets a 6.5/10.
Caribou Coffee
Although similar to a drink I had tried before, I wanted to try the more “classic” version of a crafted press. I must admit, I liked the other version more. This one tasted a little too plain for me. There was not enough syrup, nor was the coffee flavor really there, but I loved the espresso cold foam. Coffee #14 gets a 5.5/10.
Starbucks
Going back into the fall theme, I decided it was time for the pumpkin cream cold brew. It was extremely delicious. My only complaint was that it was warm out and this drink is meant for colder weather, but I guess that is my fault. Coffee #13 gets a 9/10.
Dunkin’ Donuts
I have never had a latte from Dunkin’, so I thought this was the perfect time to try it out! I am so surprised with how delicious this is! The syrups blend beautifully together on the tongue and the extra espresso added the perfect amount of that “coffee” taste to balance out the syrup. I loved this drink. Coffee #12 gets a 9/10!
Starbucks
I decided to try yesterday’s drink again, except altering it a little, as I said I would. So, I tried adding white mocha syrup to it. I didn’t want the pecan flavor to be over powered, so I only added a few pumps, but I barely tasted a difference. I also asked for an extra shot of espresso, but they did not add that for me, sadly. Coffee #11 gets another 9.5/10.
